The Challenge
Ryan Newman is a licensed, bonded master electrician who spent years working for other contractors before launching Newman Electric in 2020. He had the skills, the license, and the work ethic, but zero online presence. No website, no Google Business Profile, no reviews, and no way for people searching for an electrician in Vancouver, WA to find him.
The Clark County and Cowlitz County electrical market is competitive. Established companies had hundreds of reviews, years of SEO authority, and name recognition from being around for a decade or more. Every week without leads was a week burning through savings.
He needed the full package: a professional website, local SEO, a Google Business Profile, and Google Ads to generate calls immediately while organic rankings built over time.
What We Built
We built Newman Electric a complete digital foundation: a custom website with over 100 pages of content, covering every service, every service area, and a growing blog. All designed to rank, convert, and grow.
Custom Website Design
We built a fast, professional site using Astro and Tailwind CSS, deployed on Cloudflare Pages. The home services website design is mobile-first with click-to-call on every page, prominent phone numbers, and a layout that converts panicked homeowners with electrical emergencies into phone calls. Google PPC for Immediate Leads
Since organic rankings take time to build, we launched a targeted Google Ads campaign to start generating calls from day one. We set up campaigns focused on high-intent keywords like "electrician near me," "emergency electrician," and "EV charger installer" across his service area.
We used call-only ads during business hours to connect searchers directly to his phone, and standard search ads with call extensions the rest of the time. Geographic targeting stayed tight to avoid wasting budget on areas he couldn't serve, and we monitored search term reports weekly to eliminate irrelevant clicks.
Google Business Profile & Local SEO
Our local SEO strategy centered on getting Newman Electric into the Google Map Pack for electrician-related searches. We set up and fully optimized the Google Business Profile with every service category, defined precise service areas, wrote detailed descriptions, added professional photos, and set up a Q&A section.
As jobs got completed, we implemented a review generation process so satisfied customers would leave Google reviews. That review velocity was critical for a new business competing against established contractors with years of reviews already banked. Newman Electric now has 99+ five-star reviews.
