The Challenge

WorkSimpli operates a portfolio of SaaS productivity tools, including PDF editors, document converters, and other business process software. Their internal marketing team handles day-to-day operations well, but organic search performance had stalled. They were getting traffic, but not at the level their product quality and market position warranted.

The SaaS productivity space is brutally competitive. You're going up against well-funded companies with large content teams and strong domain authority. WorkSimpli needed more than general SEO advice. They needed a specialist who could dig into the technical details, identify specific blockers, and deliver a roadmap their team could actually execute on.

Their team didn't need someone to manage their SEO long-term. They needed an expert to come in, do the deep analysis they didn't have bandwidth for, and hand them a prioritized plan of attack. That's exactly what we provided.

Our Solution

We structured this as a focused consulting engagement with three core deliverables. The goal was to hand WorkSimpli's team everything they needed to execute, with clear priorities and expected impact for each recommendation.

Technical SEO Audit

We ran a comprehensive technical audit covering crawlability, indexing efficiency, site performance, and JavaScript rendering. SaaS products built on modern JavaScript frameworks often have rendering issues that prevent search engines from seeing content properly. That was one of the first things we looked at.

We also dug into page speed metrics, Core Web Vitals scores, and how the site handled things like canonicalization across their multiple product properties. Each issue was documented with its estimated impact and implementation difficulty, so their dev team could make informed decisions about what to fix first. The same SEO fundamentals that matter for local businesses matter here too, just applied at a different scale and with different technical constraints.

Site Architecture Recommendations

How a site is organized matters as much as what's on it. We proposed a new framework for site structure and internal linking that would consolidate authority around their most important product pages instead of spreading it thin across hundreds of low-value URLs.

This included recommendations for URL structure, breadcrumb implementation, hub-and-spoke content models, and cross-linking between related product pages. The goal was to make it obvious to search engines which pages were the most important, and to create clear user pathways from informational content to product pages.

Content Strategy

We ran a data-backed keyword and competitive gap analysis to identify where WorkSimpli was losing to competitors, and more importantly, where competitors were weak and WorkSimpli could win with focused content investment.

This wasn't just a list of keywords. We mapped out content clusters around each product, identified the search intent behind each query group, and prioritized opportunities based on volume, difficulty, and business value. As AI-powered search continues to change how people discover SaaS tools, we also looked at how their content was structured for featured snippets and other SERP features that AI search engines pull from.

The Results

WorkSimpli's team took the roadmap and ran with it. The impact was clear within the first few months of implementation.

Significant, measurable improvements in search engine performance across the SaaS product portfolio, with key product pages climbing into top positions for their target terms.

Prioritized, actionable recommendations that their team could implement without needing ongoing outside help. Each item had clear expected impact and effort estimates.

Stronger competitive position in organic search results for key product categories, closing gaps against better-funded competitors.

This project is a good example of how consulting engagements should work. We didn't need to manage their SEO indefinitely. We came in, did the analysis their team didn't have capacity for, and gave them a clear plan. They executed it, and the results followed. Sometimes that's exactly what a company needs.
